Whether you are trying to lose weight or improve your health in general, drinking several cups of matcha green tea per day can help. Matcha green tea powder is good for you in part because of the effect of L-Theanine as a natural mood enhancer. Organic matcha tea is the best as far as I am concerned however I am guilty of not drinking enough matcha tea because I am not that fond of green tea. I liked the idea that this organic matcha green tea powder was ok to add to food.

I certainly could use the benefits of increased memory, concentration and relaxation of the mind that you get from the effects of the L-Theanine found in matcha tea. Organic matcha green tea is the next best thing to a warm cup of hot chocolate to sooth and clam you, especially in the winter months.

Fat Fighting Benefits of Matcha Green tea

Drinking matcha green tea can be a great addition to a well-rounded nutrition and exercise program. I needed an energy boost. Organic matcha tea does contain caffeine. The difference is the caffeine has an alkalizing effect. The caffeine is slowly released into the stomach which which gradually aids with digestion, healing and cleansing. Matcha tea works to raise your metabolism, therefore helping you to burn more fat even while you’re resting and sleeping. Although this doesn’t give you an excuse to slack off at the gym, it does help to burn up the stored fat we carry a little quicker. It also oxidizes the fat. It burns the fat that commonly settles around our middles: the waist, hips and thighs.

Matcha green tea powder contains 60% EGCg or epigallocatechin gallate. Polyphenol EGCG, a thermogenic component believed to boost metabolism, is also found in matcha green tea powder. I can say I do feel more energized after drinking this organic matcha tea.

The other benefit dieters receive from drinking green tea is having a reduced appetite. We all know that the fewer calories we take in and the more calories we burn are what it takes to lose weight. By this reasoning, green tea is the perfect diet companion.

The Other Health benefits of Green Tea

Dieters aren’t the only ones who should be drinking green tea though. There are many health benefits achieved from drinking this hot beverage every day.

It is said that matcha tea also lowers cholesterol and blocks far by increasing metabolism. Organic matcha tea has lower levels of LDL cholesterol – which is the bad cholesterol and higher levels of HDL cholesterol which is the good cholesterol. While I understand how all of this works, I am not a doctor – and have not had any tests run to see if there are any changes in my cholesterol levels.

Because green tea is high in antioxidants it is a good tool to fight the flu. It will help boost your immunity against viruses.

Green tea kills bacteria in the mouth that causes plaque. This is good news for people who fear frequent trips to the dentist.

Green tea helps us to think more clearly. It also helps stave off memory loss, like that associated with Alzheimers disease.

In addition, green tea aids people with medical conditions like cancer, arthritis, heart disease and serious infections.

Maximizing the Benefits of Green Tea

Always use high quality green tea leaves or matcha green tea powder. Once soaked, the tea should turn out a pale green color. Experts suggest that drinking mildly hot green tea produces better benefits that making it into iced tea.

Let the tea brew in the mildly hot water for several minutes to help bring out the flavanoids. Experts suggest drinking between 3and 5 cups of green tea per day for better health.

Skip adding sugar to your green tea. If you feel like you need to adjust the taste, add some honey, lemon or skim milk for added health benefits.

Just don’t like the taste of green tea?  As for the taste, well it definitely tastes like green vegetables blended together. While I love vegetables, drinking anything that tastes like that is not for me – and this is why I am thrilled I can cook with it.  I appreciate the recipe book that came with this. It is definitely helping me to figure out how to use this matcha green tea powder in our daily diet. This way the entire family gets the health benefits of the organic matcha tea.Another option would be to reap the many health benefits of green tea in the form of a pill. With the matcha green tea powder, all I would need to do is add it to some empty pill capsules.

However you manage to include green tea in your diet, including it on a regular basis will help you experience maximum results. Add green tea to a healthy, well-balanced diet and exercise routine for good overall fitness. I must say however that this is the best tasting of the matcha green tea brands that I have tried so far still I have no intention of switching out my black tea for green, I just intend to add the matcha green tea powder to my recipes or maybe even take it in the pill form. My husband on the other hand likes green tea, so he will drink the organic matcha tea. Do you like green tea or maybe just want to reap the health benefits like me?
