My current stove is a side-by-side oven and half with four large coil burners on top and a wonderful prep area in the center – but it needs replaced. Between hosting two large dinner parties over the past month, the constant cooking that takes place for my blog posts, plus seasonal canning and holiday dinners, my old stove has just about given out. I love hosting large holiday dinners and look forward to cooking for friends and family alike. The problem with my current stove is trying to figure out a happy medium for cooking multiple dishes at the same time that require different temperatures when the temperature inside of it is no longer properly regulated. In order to not overcook food, I must now place a oven thermometer inside the oven and watch it carefully through the cooking time. The other alternative is to cook one item and try to keep it warm while the other items is cooking. This leads to foods drying out. I’m sure some of you know the drill – and it is stressful to say the least. This is why I am so excited about the new cooking technology available in the double ovens available from Best Buy. I hope – if not this year – then in the very near future, I can simply #holidayprep with appliances from Best Buy.

These new appliances from Best Buy would enhance my holiday plans for entertaining at home for a number of reasons. First of all, I would no longer have to use that internal oven thermometer or worry about my oven not cooking foods – such as homemade bread – correctly. The Frigidaire FGIF3061NF plus induction includes a convection oven which circulates the air in the oven for quicker baking time. This means I would not have to worry about cutting into the center of what appears to be a perfectly baked loaf of bread only to find it is doughy inside. I could also easily bake more than one loaf of bread at a time and know they were all done inside – and think about how much time I could save on the baking process itself. Instead of spending eight hours or more to bake six loaves of bread, I could bake several at once. Right now I have to bake one loaf, let my oven cool, then bake another loaf. You get the idea.

The Frigidaire induction cooking technology even enables you to boil water in less than two minutes! Imagine that! No more waiting for what seems like an eternity for the pot to boil. My current stove actually requires ten minutes – on high – to bring a pot of water to a boil. Another real plus is cleanup. The induction technology also helps with this because spills don’t burn on. I cannot tell you how much time I spend scrubbing the top of my stove – and when I don’t have the time, I have to deal with nasty black crud around my burners. Just wiping the stove off on an older type of stove does not remove all the yucky, burnt on stuff. This little time saver would give me more time to spend with my guests enjoying the holiday meal I prepared instead of in the kitchen trying to remove all the stuff that burned on while cooking the meal before using the stove again.

Another new innovation that I am really excited about is the new double ovens that let you cook two dishes at two different temperatures at once. The Whirlpool WGG555S0BS does this while still fitting in the same space as a standard range. Talk about simplifying holiday meal prep. Best Buy has you covered when it comes to both of these great appliances. After all, you have enough on your plate already during the hectic holiday season buying gifts, cooking and entertaining. Stop by Best Buy today, check out the new appliance technology available that allows you to get your meals prepared the way you want to and saves you time in the kitchen so you can spend more time entertaining your guests or simply enjoying the holiday season.
