I love grilling. Food tastes so much better cooked over charcoal in my opinion however sometimes those grill grates aren’t the best and they can be hard to clean. I had always wondered how some people made those nice dark indentations on their grilled food as well. Then along came the answer. The ManGrate! These American made grilling grates sit right on top of the existing grates in your grill. Simply pre-heat the grates, add your steaks or other meat and cook. ManGrates are made of cast iron and this design utilizes radiant heat that sears in the meats natural juices while cooking the food evenly.

Typically when you grill you end up with convection heat or “hot air” that can dry the meat out or cause it to cook unevenly. You also often get flare ups when the grease and juices from the meat drip into the coals. The ManGrate is designed with angled ledges on the each bar of the smoke rails that trop and retain the oils and fats released during grilling. These juices aid in the natural smoking process of the meat so instead of them dripping down and being burned up they are utilized. This allow the meat to have a rich, barbecued flavor that you typically don’t get. This is where the #mangratequality really comes into play.

We used our ManGrates on Father’s Day for the first time. We cooked both New York Strip Steaks and Brats on the ManGrate. I did not try any of the Brats but my husband enjoyed them. I did try the New York Strip Steak and it was out of this world! It was juicy and tender with perfect sear marks! I truly thought I was eating a steak in a high quality steak house. I know the ManGrates were the item that made the difference because I have tried all kinds of things to get steakhouse quality steak on a grill and never succeeded until I cooked on these. I loved the extra smoky flavor of the meat as well.

Cleanup was a breeze too. The ManGrate comes with it’s own brush designed for cleaning the grates. Once the grates are cool enough to handle, simply use the brush to remove any stuck food particles. It really is that easy. Remember that just like cast iron pans though the ManGrate must be seasoned and properly cared for the insure years of use.  If you love cooking with cast iron, you are going to love the ManGrate! I have a special coupon code to share with you. Order your ManGrate today and get 10% off your order with coupon code MGREVIEW.
