Welcome to the Experimental Homesteader Podcast. I'm your host, Sheri Ann Richerson. If you're like me, your homestead to-do list is a mile long, and somehow the days always feel too short. Today I want to share three quick time saving hacks that have made a huge difference on my own homestead. These are simple shifts, but they'll save you hours over the course of a week.

First up, automate what you can. When I finally invested in automatic feeders and waters for my animals, it felt like I got my mornings back. No more rushing around in the dark before work or worrying if I'd be home in time to top off water or because it was time to feed hay. A hay feeder in the barn along one wall works wonders for goats and makes sure they always have access to hay.

If you've ever felt chained to the clock because of animal care, this one's a lifesaver. Second. Batch your work instead of canning a few jars here and there. I started dedicating whole weekends to food preservation. Not only do I get more done, but I also waste less energy setting up and cleaning up over and over.

Batching works for canning, baking bread, even laundry. Once you get in the zone, things move faster. And third. Seasonal focus. Not everything needs to be done every day. In spring, my main focus is planting and seed. Starting in summer, it's maintenance and harvesting. In fall, it's preserving and prepping for winter and winter.

That's my time for planning and repairing. When I stopped trying to juggle everything at once and leaned into the season I was in. My stress level dropped way down. Now, these are just three of the strategies I use, but I've put together a complete system that goes deeper into daily, weekly, and seasonal planning.

It's called the Homesteaders Time Management System, and it's designed to help you create a routine that actually works for your life. And here's the exciting part. I'm also hosting a free webinar soon where I'll walk you step by step through the system and show you exactly how to put it into practice.

I'll be announcing the date very soon, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, you can grab your copy of the homesteaders Time Management PDF today. I'll drop the direct link in the comments below this podcast. That way when the webinar date drops. You'll already have the guide in hand and be ready to follow along.

Thanks so much for joining me today on The Experimental Homestead Podcast. Remember, small changes, add up to big results. Try out one of these time saving hacks this week, and I promise you'll notice the difference. Don't forget to download your home center's time management PDF, and keep your ears open for the upcoming webinar announcement.

Until next time, happy homesteading.
