Old Bay Seasoning Mix

  • 1 tablespoon ground bay leaf
  • 2 ½ teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1 ½ teaspoon freshly ground dry mustard (affiliate link)
  • 1 ½ teaspoon freshly ground peppercorns
  • ¾ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg (affiliate link)
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground cloves (affiliate link)
  • ½ teaspoon roasted dry ginger
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper


  1. Crush the herbs (if they are whole) then measure them to make sure you get the correct amount.
  2. Place the crushed herbs in a container, then stir or shake to combine.
  3. Put the herb mixture in a glass jar with a lid or another type of sealed container.
  4. Store in a dark, cool, dry place and use as needed.
