Honey Wheat Bread Recipe

Instructions

  1. Make sure the water you use is warm, but not hot, then stir the yeast into the water and set it aside.
  2. Combine the salt, the flour and the dry milk.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add the honey, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the yeast mixture.
  5. Stir until the the dough is moistened and all the ingredients combined.
  6. Sprinkle a light coating of flour on your hands and onto the area you intend to knead the dough on.
  7. Place the dough onto the floured area. The dough should be sticky.
  8. Knead the dough for 10 to 12 minutes. The dough should feel soft like a baby's bottom and easily form into a ball shape.  Bread dough resting on a wooden cutting board.
  9. Sit the dough aside to rise for about an hour - or until it is double in size.
  10. Punch the dough down in the center and then shape it into whatever shape you want.
  11. Allow the shaped dough to rise for another hour - or until double in size.
  12. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes.
  13. Slather butter on top to soften the crust, remove from the pan and allow to cool slightly before serving.
