Ingredients

Scale

For the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 3 Tablespoons cane sugar

For the cheesecake:

Optional decoration:

  • Edible gel pens
  • Candy sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Put the butter in a 13 x 9 baking pan and place it in the oven as it is preheating. The butter melts quickly, so be sure to remove the pan as soon as the butter is melted.
  3. Allow the pan to cool for about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs and sugar in the pan on top of the butter.
  5. Use a spoon to mix the ingredients together.
  6. Once the ingredients are well mixed, use the spoon to press the mixture into the bottom of the pan making sure the crust is even.
  7. Mix the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla together using an electric mixer on medium speed.
  8. Add the eggs to the cream cheese mixture and continue to blend on medium speed until everything is well combined.
  9. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. The center of the cheesecake should be almost set, but not completely.
  11. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and cool it at room temperature. This takes about 30 minutes.
  12. Place the pan in the refrigerator overnight so the cheesecake is completely chilled and set.
  13. The next day cut the cheesecake into squares or rectangles, then decorate each bar with edible gel pens or sprinkles.
  14. Serve immediately or return the decorated cheesecake bars to the refrigerator.
  15. Be sure to store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
