Banana Bread Made With Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • ¾ cup of applesauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of bread flour
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9” x 5” loaf pan.
  3. Add the bananas to a large bowl, slice the bananas and use an electric mixer to mash them.
  4. Add the sugar and blend.
  5. Let mixture stand for 15 minutes.
  6. Add applesauce and eggs. Mix well.
  7. Blend in the remaining ingredients.
  8. Pour into the greased loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and let stand the bread cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
  10. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
